Learn food label skills and lifestyle strategies that support long-term cholesterol control. • Review and assessing your dietary habits and receive recommendations on what to change or adjust in your diet to lower your cholesterol or triglyceride level • Learn about clinically important blood fats such as LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol), HDL cholesterol (good cholesterol), and triglycerides and the main foods that cause them increase • Learn how to eat healthy to reduce LDL cholesterol, increase your good cholesterol, and reduce triglycerides in your blood • Learn how to eat healthy and what special food to avoid to reduce triglyceride in your blood and • Providing education on different kinds of dietary fats such as saturated fats, unsaturated fats, trans fats to understand which types are healthy to take often and which ones are to avoid • Learn about food sources of healthy fats and how to read food labels to draw correct information related to the type of fat in the food and how to monitor your saturated and unsaturated fat intake • Learn about other nutrients that help improve your blood fat level such as fibre, plant sterols, and more • Learn about other lifestyle factors especially those that are related to cholesterol such as alcohol consumption, smoking, exercise, stress level, sleep hygiene, family history, etc • Learn to manage your weight to manage your cholesterol level Lowering blood cholesterol or triglyceride takes some time and efforts. Booking Policy – Nutri for Family Counselling We are excited to support you on your health journey! To ensure smooth and fair access to our services, please review the following booking policies: Session Scheduling Appointments must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. Clients can select their preferred language: English, French, or Farsi (Persian). Sessions are held online via a secure video platform. A link will be sent to your email upon confirmation. If you have any accessibility needs, please let us know when booking. Payment Policy Full payment is required at the time of booking. Secure payment options are available via the website. Receipts for insurance or tax purposes can be provided upon request. Rescheduling and Cancellation You may reschedule or cancel your appointment up to 24 hours before your session with no penalty. To cancel or reschedule, please use the link in your confirmation email or contact us directly at info@nutriforfamilies.com Missed appointments or cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable. Late Arrivals If you are late, your session will still end at the scheduled time to respect other clients. If you are more than 15 minutes late without notice, the session will be considered missed. Important Notes Nutritional counselling is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. Please consult your physician for any medical concerns.
